This happens when any Tom, Dick and Harry starts blogging!

It all starts with a provoking thought of earning some extra buck, because of various anonymous reasons like :
  • everyone is blogging and earning extra
  • everyone creating websites and earning more
  • every friend and junior of yours earning more then you (Grass always looks Greener on the other side)
  • your salary is not able to keep up with inflation
  • you have taken more loan from bank which are taking more time
  • keep up with life-style expenses
  • need to buy a house or a car asap as property rate are sky-rocketing
  • need extra money to do yearly trip
  • you also want to earn money will little effort like sitting in front of laptop at home :)
  • you want to prove yourself
So in quest of starting your blog, you start searching for the blogging websites like below
  • search Google for best blogging sites
  • read reviews to find the best website
  • once you found the best then you finds that, it is not free
  • then search begins again with best free blogging website
  • then you finalize on two i.e. WordPress and Blogger options from the sea
  • then you always opt for blogger as you already have a Google account and don't want to spent time in registration, unlike many of website where you had registered and getting Spam's :)
Once you open your profile or account in any blogging website and then you look out for best templates color and other nuances for making your blog page look better.

Now you can't wait more to write a blog or multiple blog's, so you click "New Blog" and here comes the blog page asking of title and content. And it's the time when real game begins and where real introspection of yourself happens. It the time when you get in touch with reality and real you. And self introspection happens as below:
  • what should I blog about? [Answer: lot of things start poping up in your mind ]
  • do i have any real interests? [Answer: No!]
  • do i master any subject for which i can write something? [Answer: No!]
  • do i know of latest gadgets, so that i can write the reviews about? [Answer: No!]
  • shall i write technology blogs in which i work? [Answer: Are you nuts? you don't even know the basics well ]
  • shall i copy paste few articles from the web [Answer: No way! I want to be genuine :) and on top of that Google will not rank it. ]
  • shall i write about my childhood? [Answer: No! every tom dick and harry has same]
  • shall i write about my love life?  [Answer: girlfriend /wife will beat me up or what friends and reader will say, they will laugh like Siddhuji ]
  • so, what should i write about [Answer: Don't know and you start scratching your head]
And finally you decide on some insane topic but another set of issues pop up.
  • you know what to write in mind but you are not able to put things in writing :)
  • you writing some sentence and then reading it yourself and deleting it again and again.
  • you start thinking of last year performance discussion with your Manager where he pointed out that i need to work on my communication skills and i fought with him saying i have no problem with my communication skills :)
After some more introspection of yours, you realize that it's not your cup of tea. And this is the point where most of us give away the thought of writing a blog.

Have you ever realized why almost everyone of us fail? Because of...
  • diminishing habit of writing [after schooling 99% of us just talk and do not write anything apart from graduation exam]
  • you always think that if you speak English then you can surely write it too. [It's a myth!]
But we should not give away the hope, think of any obsolete topic, think about it and start putting your thoughts into the blog, even if it's not good, just click the publish button and you have written your first blog! YAHOO!

Below are the few points in the world of internet of things, which may encourage you to write a blog:
  1. It helps you to express your thoughts, so in turn improves communication skills
  2. Increases confidence
  3. It a thought provoking process with it your knowledge will increase
  4. Blogs are modern way of making notes or writing a diary or a journal
  5. You are sharing your knowledge, in turn you will be putting in the efforts and learn more
  6. Your blog will be read by an wider audience if you market it properly
  7. Your blog will be reviewed automatically and in turn you improve more if you work on the review comments!
  8. Your network will improve, you start collaborating more.
  9. You will be famous among friends and in the virtual world at-least.
  10. If you really serious about it, it will help you to make money too. Isn't it our goal at the beginning!
That's it for my first blog!
